چکیده

Structural assessment is a main concern when designing and operating any sort of offshore structure. This meant to ensure that the structural integrity preserved along lifespan asset, withstanding worst sea-states will be encountered making sure accumulated fatigue damage not jeopardize its neither. The purpose this paper present fast reliable hydroelastic model. model based on time-domain tight-coupling three-dimensional FEM (finite element method) linear seakeeping hydrodynamics In order reduce computational cost dynamic simulations, high-fidelity solution projected onto modal basis obtain matrix system extend response amplitude operators (RAO) responses (MRAO). From there, number degrees freedom can greatly reduced by retaining only those eigenmodes preserving most elastic energy. use MRAOs and/or large reduction in allows us to: first, quickly analyse loadcases required design stage; second, implement digital twin for health monitoring operational conditions. also presents an application case developed methodology.

High-resolution modal analysis

Usual modal analysis techniques are based on the Fourier transform. Due to the ∆T.∆f limitation, they perform poorly when the modal overlap μ exceeds 30%. A technique based on a high-resolution analysis algorithm and an order-detection method is presented here, with the aim of filling the gap between the lowand the high-frequency domains (30% < μ < 100%). A pseudo-impulse force is applied at po...

Aero-structural Wing Design Optimization Using High-fidelity Sensitivity Analysis

This paper develops and implements a framework for the computation of coupled aero-structural sensitivities which are required for the design of aircraft where aeroelastic interactions are significant. All aero-structural sensitivities are computed using high-fidelity models of both the aerodynamics and the structure of the wing with a coupled-adjoint approach that uses single discipline sensit...

Hydroelastic analysis of plates and some approximations

The paper concerns the modelling of very large pontoon-type floating structures by thin beams and plates of shallow draft, excited by regular waves. It is shown how the classical theory of hydroelasticity, involving the concepts of added mass and damping associated with the structural responses, may be reconciled with more recent formulations. In the latter, coupled equations for displacement a...

Mass Properties Identification of a Rigid Body Using Modal Analysis

In performing vibration analysis of the car engine on the engine support, it is necessary to know the mass properties of the engine including mass, position of the center of mass and mass inertia moments. Because the car engine has a relatively complex geometric shape and is composed of different components with different densities, determining its mass properties faces many challenges. There a...
